Mark has a background working with non-profit and faith-based communities for the last 30 years. From 1995-2000 he worked at Hoa 'Aina O Makaha and initiated an Organic Agriculture project there. From 2002-2008 was the Community Development Coordinator at Kokua Kalihi Valley.

Sociology Professor at the University of Hawaii -- Manoa, with a primary focus on environmental sustainability, social justice and food security issues. Born and raised in Japan and Singapore.

Lydi has been involved in agricultural and food education work for the last 20+ years. She started with Kokua Hawaii Foundation in 2006, then the Hawaii Farm to School Network and now with the UH College of Tropical Agriculture as an Extension agent getting DOE pre-K through 12th grade teachers out in the 'aina to enhance the education provided to their students.

Retired licensed CPA. Former Chief Financial Officer of the Hawaii Community Foundation and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs. Former Interim Executive Director of Pacific Gateway Center. President of the Kaneohe Community Garden.
