Mark Hamamoto has a background working with non-profit and faith-based communities for the last 20 years. From 1995 – 2000, worked at the Hoa’aina O Makaha farm and initiated an Organic Agriculture project there. From 2001 – 2009, was the Community Development Coordinator at Kokua Kalihi Valley (KKV) and instrumental in starting KKV’s Ho’oula ‘Aina program.
Originally from upstate New York, Alex started working on local farms in high school and continued learning about agriculture and community development at the University of Vermont. Since then he has worked on farms large and small in Vermont, California, New York, and now on the North Shore of Oahu. Alex is passionate about finding creative solutions and using regenerative practices to grow high quality produce.
As Harvest Manager, Tatum works to organize the collection, processing, and distribution of produce to the local community. She is passionate about progressing sustainable agriculture, increasing food access, and contributing to the local economy. Outside of Mohala Farms, Tatum likes to surf, snorkel and learn about fish.
